Overview
The Bishop’s Castle & District Community Land Trust is a Society for the Benefit of the Community, registered with the Financial Conduct Authority, company number IP30231R
It is recognised as a Charitable Trust by His Majesty’s Revenue & Customs.
Registration No. EW12300
It is owned by over 300 Shareholders, also known as Members who meet at least annually to receive reports and elect the board of trustees.
The Trust is governed and its activities are managed by a voluntary board of local trustees, presently including one of our tenants, a retired solicitor, a chartered surveyor, local business owners, a town councillor, and a county councillor.

AGM
We have an AGM each year
The general agenda of the AGM is:

To receive the annual report

To consider the strategic policies of the association;

To appoint the auditor;

To elect independent board members;
-
To transact any other general business of the association included in the notice convening the meeting
SGM
Special general meetings shall be convened either:
-
Upon an order of the board, or
-
Upon a written requisition signed by one-tenth of the members stating the business for which the meeting is to be convened;
A special general meeting shall not transact any business that is not included in the notice convening the meeting.
