The Bishops Castle Community Land Trust is not a housing association.     

 

Its purpose as a community trust is to provide affordable accommodation for local people in housing need.

 

The rents charged are around 20% less than the market rate. To be considered for a tenancy, applicants need to demonstrate they are in genuine housing need and that they have a strong connection to the town.

 

The one-bed flat on the ground floor will be let for £518 per month, and a spacious two-bed flat above will be let for £630 per month. Anyone living within a 10km radius of the town centre may be eligible, but priority will be given to people needing  to live in the town for work or care for dependent relative, and who find it hard to qualify for social housing.

Completed forms and supporting information can be handed in, or posted to Enterprise House, Station Street Bishops Castle SY9 5AQ, in an envelope marked 'Stars'. 

 

The closing date for applications is 5pm on 4th June.

 

All applications will be assed by two Board members of the Trust and an advisor with no connection to the Trust.
