The venue this year:

Little Woodbatch Farm

Woodbatch Rd

Bishops Castle

SY9 5JT

Your sat nav for Little Woodbatch Farm will be fine until the last instructions where it will try to bring you up an old farm drive with a sign saying ‘Salt’s barn’ across from a house called 'Ashbrook'. Ignore this direction! There's no access through there.

Instead, continue past Ashbrook up Woodbatch road. This will turn into a single track road and on the left will be a large gravel layby with 3 gates. It’s the middle gate. So come on through and up the long drive. If you're lost, call 07769 510364.

Date and Timing

Sat/Sun 19/20 September 2026

Book a 1/2 hour arrival slot between 10am–4pm

Please arrive as close as possible to your allotted time. There will be room to unload your apples and we will provide wheelbarrows to help you transfer them to the house, but you will need to find a parking space back down the drive.

Further Information

There will be experienced helpers available, but each person is expected to press their own apples.

Pasteurising is a separate process and takes some time, the bottles must be heated up to 70° for approx. 20 minutes. We have 3 pasteurisers which each take 6 bottles, so that’s a maximum of 18 bottles at a time, and they need cooling down before you can take them away.

What to bring

Apples (!)

If you are pasteurising, you will need 75cl screwtop glass bottles, there will be some spare, but we ask for donations of 50p each so it’s cheaper to bring your own if possible.

If you are not pasteurising, then whatever container you like will do, but be aware the raw juice does not keep for more than a couple of days unless in a freezer.

Cost

£1 for a litre bottle (unpasteurised)

70p for 75cl bottle (unpasteurised)

50p extra per for 75cl for pasteurising.

Any further queries, don’t hesitate to ask.
