The Bishop’s Castle & District Community Land Trust’s purpose is to provide affordable accommodation for local people in housing need.
It is not a Housing Association.
We set rents at about 20% less than the market rate.
Apply for a tenancy
To be considered for a tenancy, applicants need to demonstrate they are in genuine housing need and that they have a strong connection to the town.
Anyone living within a 10km radius of the town centre may be eligible, but priority will be given to people needing to live in the town for work or care for dependent relative, and who find it hard to qualify for social housing.

Completed forms and supporting information can be handed in, or posted to Enterprise House, Station Street, Bishop’s Castle, SY9 5AQ in an envelope marked ‘BCCLT Tenancy’.
All applications will be assessed by two board members of the Trust and an advisor with no connection to the Trust.
